Voter Services Activities


The LWVNM Education Fund will provide voters with online election information primarily through our online Voter Guide at VOTE411. This will include VOTE411 licenses for the four local League chapters, promotional materials including the production and dissemination of print and digital voter guides, voter registration activities, candidate and issue forums and webinars.

Fair Districts for New Mexico


The LWVNM Education Fund manages Fair Districts for NM, (FDNM) a broad coalition of 30 New Mexico organizations working to ensure that the redistricting process in New Mexico is fair, transparent and equitable. FDNM supports an amendment to the New Mexico constitution creating an Independent Redistricting Commission.

This project is partially underwritten by the Thornburg Foundation which continues to support FDNM operations and fair districting in general.

New Mexico Listens


New Mexico Listens is a project that is committed to improving civil discourse and promoting the principles of a functioning democracy. It was Initially funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities through the New Mexico Humanities Council. The Humanities Council made short videos on NM Listens featuring interviews with the project leaders and clips from some of the activities that were conducted in New Mexico. The LWVNM Education Fund manages NM Listens and provides programs to deepen respect for diverse perspectives on issues and to enhance civic engagement and understanding through listening and conversation.
